My name is Gerry, and I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2008. This has affected the way I walk, and decreased the strength in my arms and legs. The physical therapy prescribed by my doctor was not effective. I met Patrick a year ago. We talked, and he asked me questions about my Parkinson’s, and how it has affected me physically. He told me to come back the next day, and he’d have a customized workout for me. After the first couple of workouts with Patrick, I noticed that I was able to walk better. Over the past year, we have been meeting weekly, and my endurance, and strength has increased.
Patrick is a very friendly person who can make every workout enjoyable and productive… when he’s training me, it feels like I’m hanging out with an old friend. He is able to correct my exercise form without feeling like I am being lectured. I always leave a workout with Patrick feeling like I have exerted myself, and never feel like I have spent a lot of time doing pointless exercises. Patrick is able to explain the exercises and the reasons for doing certain exercise routines in a way that is easy to understand. I have noticed my strength and endurance increasing since I started exercising with Patrick.
